KNUST pilot version. We collect the minimum we need to run the service, and delete what we don't need to keep.

Version 2026-08-12 · in effect from 12 August 2026

What we collect, and why

  • Phone number or email — to sign you in and send order updates. Phone is how we verify a real person is behind an order.
  • Your name— shown to the shop preparing your order, so they know whose document they're printing.
  • Approximate location— only if you allow it, to sort shops by distance. We never store a location history; it's used live, on the map screen, and discarded.
  • The documents you upload — to compile and print your order. See below for how long these are kept.
  • Order and payment records — what you ordered, from which shop, and that it was paid — kept as your order history and for our own accounting. We never see or store your mobile money PIN or full account details; payment itself is handled entirely by Paystack.

Automatic document deletion

Documents are not kept longer than they need to be:

  • The files you originally upload are deleted as soon as they've been compiled into the single PDF you approve.
  • That compiled PDF is deleted 48 hours after you collect your order.
  • If you never collect it, the compiled PDF is deleted automatically after 7 days.
  • The order record— what was ordered, when, from which shop, for how much — is kept permanently. It contains no document content, and it's what protects both you and the shop if a dispute ever comes up later.

Who can see what

A shop can only see orders placed with that specific shop, and only for as long as the files exist under the rule above — access is through short-lived links, never a permanent copy. We (Inqlo) can see order and account records to run the service and resolve disputes. We do not sell your data to anyone, and we do not share it beyond what's needed to run the service or if we're legally required to.

The services we rely on to run Inqlo, and what each one receives:

  • Paystack — takes your payment. They handle the mobile money transaction itself; we never see or store your PIN or full account details.
  • Supabase — stores your account, your orders and your uploaded files.
  • Sentry — receives an automatic report when something in the app breaks, so we can fix it. Reports carry the technical error only. We strip out sign-in tokens and the paths to your documents before anything is sent, and we do not attach your name, phone number or email.
  • Google Maps— draws the map of shops. The map is loaded from Google, so Google sees that a map was requested, and if you allow location it is used to centre the map and sort shops by distance. We don't send Google your name, your order or your document.

What we keep on your phone

The app saves a few things in your browser's own storage so it survives a bad connection: your unfinished order while you're putting it together, and a short-lived cache of the shop list so the home screen isn't blank when the network drops. None of it is advertising or tracking, none of it is shared, and clearing this site's data in your browser removes all of it.

Age

Inqlo is for people aged 18 and over, or younger with a parent or guardian's permission. If you believe a child has given us personal data without that permission, message us on WhatsApp and we'll remove it.

Security

Every connection to Inqlo is encrypted. Access to your own data is restricted at the database level, not just by the screens you see — a bug in the app can't accidentally show you someone else's order.

Ghana's Data Protection Act

We handle personal data as a data controller under Ghana's Data Protection Act (2012) and intend to register with the Data Protection Commission as the pilot grows.

Your choices

Once signed in, you can update your name and phone number from your profile page, and sign out at any time. To see what we hold about you, correct it, or ask us to delete it, reach us on WhatsApp — the link is in the footer of every screen.

One limit worth being straight about: if you ask us to delete your data, we can remove your account and your name and contact details, but we have to keep the bare record of each order — what was ordered, when, from which shop, and for how much. Those records contain no part of your document. They are what protects both you and the shop if a payment or a refund is ever questioned, and we are required to keep them for accounting. Everything else goes.
